Seth graduated in 2009 from Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture/Environmental Design and a specialty in Landscape Contracting Management.
Seth is known for his work ethic, knowledge, professionalism, and his attention to detail. He is courteous, dependable, and responsible, and he expects the same of his employees.
Company History
As shown in this video from 1990, Seth Maurer was interested in landscaping before he could reach the controls on a real lawn mower.
His entrepreneurial spirit started early, too, as he passed out business cards looking for work in his neighborhood of Susquehanna Township, a suburb of Harrisburg, Pa.
Seth's first lawn job came at the age of 10 when he was hired to cut the grass of the couple next door. The lawn was almost an acre, but Seth was undaunted. After safety lessons and under the watchful eye of his parents, he did the job with a push mower.
At age 12, with a growing neighborhood clientele, Seth purchased his first riding mower, a ten-year old Wheel Horse for $40.
When Seth was a high school senior, he was named Young Entrepreneur of the Year by Cindy Rowe Auto Glass.
Shortly before graduating from Delaware Valley College, Seth formalized his business as Seth Maurer Landscaping, LLC.
Seth continues to expand his market area, his service offerings, and his client list. And that first couple who hired Seth when he was 10? They are still his customers today.
